Hands-on physician leadership
Catharine Crawford, MD, MS, FACS
Dr. Crawford is a general surgeon, board certified by the American Board of Surgery, with fellowship training in minimally invasive surgery. A former faculty member at Harvard Medical School, she continues to practice surgery and serves as Chief of Surgery at a critical access hospital, so her technique is actively maintained, not retired.
She is certified by the Board of the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine and performs every treatment at Prosilience herself.
Why technique matters
Aesthetic treatments are small procedures. The result, and your safety, depend on where each one is placed, how deep, and how precisely.
- 01
Placement and depth
Toxin, filler and threads work only in the right plane. Minimally invasive surgery is built on controlled work with fine instruments through small entry points.
- 02
Anatomy
Surgical training is grounded in detailed anatomy, including where vessels and nerves run. That knowledge is how complications are avoided.
- 03
Sterile technique
Every treatment follows the sterile practice Dr. Crawford uses in the operating room.
- 04
If something needs attention
Recognizing and managing complications early is part of surgical training. You are followed up by the physician who treated you.
Real patients, real results
Before and after
Each result reflects a treatment plan developed between Dr. Crawford and her patient. Aesthetic medicine works incrementally, and these photographs show what is realistic.
